Fox Replica 1937

Description

The Steiff Replica series are very special, as they have re-created bears that they have made in the past, using historic patterns and tools and to reproduce exactly according to their role models from the Steiff archives.  All Steiff replicas have the famous "Button in Ear" indicating the year in which they were made and from Spring 2017 onwards, they have had replica ear tags as well.  From this time, the white tag with red lettering will be sewn into the side seam of the bear as well and will contain the article and limited-edition number.

This adorable dog is a replica of the very first "Fox" dog, which was made in 1937. He is made from white, black and brown mohair and bears a true resemblance to the Fox Terrier breed, including the flopped forward ears, upright tail and long muzzle. He has glass eyes, is stuffed with wood shavings and also has a squeaker in his tummy. He is finished off rather nicely with a smart red collar and would be a great addition to any collection.

He has an underscored button made of patinated steel and a white label with black writing, showing that he is only limited to 937 pieces worldwide, making a very collectable dog.
